Welcome everyone

We would like to honour those that have died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that have lived in, or have a link to, Greater Manchester; those of all faiths and of none. As a community we can in this way express our compassion and support for those who suffer loss, remember the sorrows and sacrifices of others as well as gratitude for the memories we treasure.

Losing loved ones during the pandemic has been an experience shared by so many people across the United Kingdom. In addition, the nation has endured restrictions on travel and the ability to gather or see loved ones to say goodbye. Across the country, we have all experienced changes which will affect most of us deeply for years to come.

This is a place for the Greater Manchester family to come together, be still and reflect on the loved ones that have lost their lives. We welcome all parts of our communities and hope that this book of remembrance and the memorials therein will serve to be a place of refuge, solace and of hope.
